Equine Microchips

Equine Microchipping

Microchip implantation in horses has gained considerable traction in recent years . As myths regarding microchips have been disproved, attitudes regarding microchipping among horsemen have improved dramatically. Horse owners now have a heightened awareness regarding the safety, reliability, and ease of implantation of microchips.​  Because the American Association of Equine Practitioners (AAEP) classifies microchipping as veterinary procedure, implantation must be performed by, or under the supervision of, a veterinarian. 

Register your microchip

To register your microchip, you will need the microchip number provided by your veterinarian at your appointment. There is a $20 lifetime registration fee for all equine microchips.  Click the PetLink icon below to register your horse's microchip today:
